Buccal Massage is a unique type of massage therapy targeting the lower facial muscles and bringing impressive relief to those suffering from chronic jaw pain.

Buccal takes place with fingers inside of the mouth and involves gentle but effective intraoral techniques to loosen up muscles and the fascia in and around the jaw area.

TMJD or Temporal Mandibular Joint Disfunction is characterized by chronic and often times severe, pain in the jaw. It can be caused by many things such as nervous system dysregulation, stress, teeth grinding, lack of sleep, poor diet and exercise, and a variety of other reasons.

TMJD can become so severe that the areas surrounding the jaw can also become affected. TMJD symptoms include extreme sensitivity, swelling, muscle soreness and knotting around the jaw, temples, and also in the neck and shoulders.

Through a combination of hands-on pressure and guided breath work, I work through the body to gently release stuck and dense fascia, which can contribute to pain, stiffness, and emotional blockages.
